| Coquille Goose coquille is a body feather from around the neck of the goose. The top 80 to 85% of the length of the feather is smooth, the rest is fluff. Sizes run from 1½ to 5". Each yard is all one size feather, ie, all 3" or 4", etc. The feathers have a very sharpe curve almost a half circle. The white goose has pure white feathers. The grey goose has difference shades of grey feathers, while the darker goose feathers have a black iridescent sheen. |

| Nageories
Nageories come from the back and sides of the goose. Sizes run from about
4" to 8". Approximatly 15% of the length of the feather is fluff at the
bottom, the rest of the feather being smooth with the width at 1½ to 2"
tip which is rounded. The feathers have a nice curve to them but not as much as the
coquille. Parried Nageories are created by sanding the underside of the quill untill the feather is very soft and flexible. See terms (Home Page) for Custom Colors. Parried means each feather quill is sanded for a more flexible feather.

| Goose
Pointers Pointers are wing feathers also known as flight or
spike feathers. They are the first two or three long feathers at the tip of the wing. The
left wing feather flue is about 1" to 1½" on the left side of the quill and
about ½" on the right side of the quill. The right wing feather is the
opposite, with the wide portion of the flue on the right side. The amount of feathers in a
pound will vary depending on the size of the quill. With very large birds, it may differ
greatly from the amount listed below. Each shipment is subject to change and we have no

| Biots Biots
are the narrow part of the pointer. The narrow part is stripped from the pointer. The
first two long pointers of the narrow flue is stiff and is called a stiff biot (left). The
third, fourth and fifth feathers of the narrow flue is soft and a little wider and is
called a soft biot (right). Feathers are natural white. Can be dyed any standard color (no charge). Custom Colors available (see Home Page for Terms). |
